Recycle office furniture
Nobody likes to throw away items that have life left in them, even if they don't need or want the items for themselves. There are many reasons people replace their office furniture - a change in style, relocation, upgrading, and so on - but if your furniture isn't broken, there's no need to put it in the rubbish!
BCL will always try to reuse your unwanted furniture and if we can't it will be recycled as much as possible. Often, the only thing from offices that can't be recycled is the foam in your chair pads.
Recycle or securely destroy IT equipment
If you're replacing your entire IT system, or just a few laptops, you need to be aware of the risks to your data. We offer a secure data destruction service for laptops, hard drives, and for items that don't hold data (desktop computers and servers without hard drives, monitors). We can help keep them out of landfill and either be responsibly destroyed, recycled, or donated for re-use.

Where disposal is the only option, we utilise a number of recycling options including metal recyclers, wood chip companies, and other specialist recyclers. Each item is separated into its component form and recycled accordingly with as little as possible (often only seat foam) going to landfill. Whichever option is necessary to complete the project, each part of the process can be documented and audited by our team, to ensure that your organisation has a complete audit trail of the disposal of each item. This can be retained by you should an audit be needed in the future.
