Relocate NHS Dudley Brierley Hill Health & Social Care Centre.
Our key task
Relocating approximately 350 staff from twelve locations across Dudley borough.
Following a £27 million investment and a four year design and construction programme, NHS Dudley confirmed the opening of their new Brierley Hill Health & Social Care Centre to the public.
The building would accommodate staff from Dudley Community Services, Dudley Metropolitan Borough Council, Dudley Infracare LIFT Co, along with two GP practices. It involved transferring approximately 350 staff from twelve locations across Dudley borough.
Planning for a successful move while eliminating down time
BCL won the contract after a competitive tendering process, and immediately began the in-depth planning. Our Account Manager and dedicated Move Manager spent time with the Trust's project managers to understand the Trust's many different requirements for the services that were being moved. The Trust tasked BCL with keeping services working for as long as possible, while still allowing adequate packing time and quick start-up after the move.
Move champions from the Trust met with BCL to plan their individual moves, with help and advice provided to ensure success. We provided each move champion with a move pack, detailing everything that was going to happen.
All moves took place as planned and to the complete satisfaction of the Trust.
