Five Tips to Become More Productive in the Office
Monday 1 October 2012
Have you ever got to the end of your working day and even though you've not stopped, you look back and feel like you haven't got anything done at all?!

If you often feel like this, it can wear you down over time and make you dread going into the office at all but never fear, there is a solution that can drastically change the way you feel, and help you to get a whole lot more work done.
Here are my 5 tips to become more productive in the office:
Start the day with the 3 Magic Es:
Early start: Do you often get up last minute, rush about trying to get ready and then travel to work like you're on a rocket ship? Getting up early and taking your time can make all the difference in the way you feel and help you to better organise.
Exercise: Doing a little exercise just after you get up will release endorphins that make you feel great and fresh for the day ahead
Eat a good breakfast: Ever heard that breakfast is the most important meal of the day? Well it is, so eat a breakfast of champions and fuel your brain!
Organise your desk:
There's nothing more annoying when you're run off your feet than struggling to find that important document! But you got in work early because you followed my amazing advice, so now you can tidy your desk so that everything has its place!
To do:
Another good reason to get in work a little earlier is that you have time to get more organised and write a to do list. Sort out which things in your list are essential and which can be left for another day and you'll be cooking on gas!
Take a break:
Taking a well-deserved break is important to recharge your batteries and to help you to get away from the pressure for a short while. So step away from your desk, get some fresh air and think about something else, and when you return it will help you to tackle the rest of your day with gusto!
There's no 'I' in team:
Do you always help others but never ask for help yourself? A big reason you may feel that you never get anything done could be that you often get your head down and try to tackle everything on your own! You may be a proud soul but if you're struggling to handle your workload then ask for help. It will relieve some pressure and make you feel much better!
So now that you've got the tools to become more productive in the office, that promotion will be just around the corner!
