An example of BCL Moving's expertise is the relocation of the Loughborough University Pilkington Library. The project involved the sequential packing of over 5,000 linear metres of journals, books and specialist collections, packing and decanting of the library stock for offsite storage during refurbishment works

BCL was appointed to move the photo mosaic of Emmeline Pankhurst from the Rates Hall at Manchester Town Hall to the UK Fast Campus for a special event marking the symbolic nature of Emmeline and her influence on Women’s Rights. After the event had taken place BCL were then instructed to reverse the process and safely take the portrait back to its original position in the Rates Hall.
